Purpose
The California Lottery is conducting a 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw for registered 2nd Chance players as an incentive for players to purchase 2024 Holiday Scratchers (Games: Merry Wishes #1643, Peppermint Payout #1644, Winter Magic Multiplier #1645, 2025 #1646).
Promotion Period
The 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw will begin October 21, 2024 and end January 5, 2025 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
The California Lottery reserves the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time.
Prize
The promotion will have a total of three (3) winners and prizing totaling $60,000.

The odds of winning a prize vary based on the total number of entries that are received and the total number of entries each player submits.
Eligibility and Participation
Players must be at least 18 years of age. Players must meet eligibility requirements at the time of the promotional drawing. To enter the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, players must register as a player on the California Lottery website. When registering, players must provide a valid California address. Submissions must be entered from a location within California to be eligible for the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw. Players must provide true and current information. Player must provide their true, full legal name when registering for the 2nd Chance program. Failure to provide full legal name at registration will make the player ineligible to receive prizes from the California Lottery. In the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, only the person identified by name as the Winner on the California Lottery website at the time the Winner’s name is posted, which is supplied by the player during registration, may claim the prize from the California Lottery. Any change in name, whether due to marriage or otherwise, must be reflected on the California Lottery’s registration page prior to the draw to be eligible for any prize. Persons who register with fictitious names will be ineligible to win any prize. The 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw is not open to certain California Lottery vendors or employees of the California Lottery, their agents, and certain family members residing in the same household in accordance with California Lottery Regulations.
How to Enter
To enter the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, players must log in to their verified California Lottery 2nd Chance account or create a verified account at California Lottery to submit a 2nd Chance code. Any eligible, non-winning 2024 Holiday Scratchers (Merry Wishes #1643, Peppermint Payout #1644, Winter Magic Multiplier #1645, 2025 #1646) tickets can be entered into the promotion by manual submission at 2nd Chance or by scanning each eligible, non-winning barcode using the California Lottery Official Mobile App. Players will receive the standard number of entries based on price point (i.e., a $5 ticket receives five (5) entries) for every eligible, non-winning 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance code submitted.
Each 2nd Chance account will be limited to no more than a combined 500 code submissions per calendar month per participant. Entering a code is considered a submission; submissions that offer multiple entries count as only one submission regardless of the number of associated entries.
Draws
During the promotion, three (3) separate drawings will be held according to the following schedule:
• One (1) winner of $20,000 | Draw #1: 10/21/2024 – 11/13/2024
• One (1) winner of $20,000 | Draw #2: 11/14/2024 – 12/7/2024
• One (1) winner of $20,000 | Draw #3: 12/8/2024 – 1/5/2025
Eligible, non-winning 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance codes must be submitted during one of the three (3) draw periods to be eligible for entry into that specific draw for the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw. Each draw will occur within fifteen (15) calendar days after the specific draw period has ended with alternates drawn in the event a winner is disqualified. Draws will take place in accordance with California Lottery Regulations and procedures. All eligible, non-winning 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance codes submitted into the draws are also automatically entered into the regular Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Pool Draws that apply.
Winner Notification and Claims
The winners of the 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw will be posted on the California Lottery website within twenty (20) calendar days after the entry deadline for the applicable draw. The California Lottery will randomly select alternate winners from the eligible 2024 Holiday Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw. Using the contact information provided to the California Lottery by the winners, the California Lottery will notify the winners by e-mail to log in to their account for “important information.” Upon logging in to their California Lottery accounts, the winners will be notified of the winning prize. The winners must submit a 2nd Chance Claim Form in accordance with California Lottery Regulations and procedures. In the event a winner does not claim their prize within 180 days from the ‘Winners Posted By’ date listed on the California Lottery website for the applicable draw, the winner will waive all rights to the prize.

Players are responsible for complying with the Official Rules in addition to state and federal law and California Lottery Regulations. Proof of age, eligibility, and identity must be furnished upon request. Players affirmatively agree to the California Lottery’s use of their name, likeness, photo, story, and hometown for advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner subject to applicable Federal withholding requirements. By participating in the program, and/or accepting any prize or promotional award, players agree to and do release and hold harmless the California Lottery and its commissioners, employees, agents, and officers from any claim, demand, judgment, award, and/or any liability of any kind whatsoever.
